My name is Jean O'Donnell. I live in Firhouse, Dublin. I work full time as a receptionist in a leisure centre, and have been studying art for the past 5 years and thoroughly enjoy it. My art teacher is Marguerite Scott of the Scottie Group, who is a wonderful teacher.
I work on a part time basis, pursuing my hobby as an artist within my group of friends and like mindful individuals.
For my own original work I draw my inspiration from being a mother of 4 children, and I am naturally inspired by the innocence of children and have a preference for children as a subject for my work.

A lot of my work, however, is commissioned directly from photographs and pictures, family photographs, portraits, weddings and ability photographs, in fact all events of interest. I can create a wonderful tapestry of oil paints on canvas, giving you images, a vibrancy and life, unlike the flat appearance of photographs, with a depth of life to bring them alive to all who see them.
