Cormac Doyle Irish Woodcraft is a family owned business. Con (Cormac's Father) bought his first lathe in the late 1950's, made some bowls and got his first order from a major Dublin department store. Over the years he built up a steady trade in Ireland and Europe, with emphasis on good clean functional design, receiving numerous awards for quality and design of products.

Cormac, the eldest of six children followed in the footsteps, having, like Con trained as a woodwork teacher, working with special needs, disturbed and refugee children. Cormac is also an accomplished musician and has spent a number of years touring the globe with various traditional Irish bands.

He returned home to work with his father in 2001 and in 2004 took over the family business, with Con still there to lend a hand when needed. He has introduced a range of new designs, being careful to keep the clean lines established by his father.
Cormac lives in Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow with his wife Julie and two sons, Finn and Euan.
